New Deadlines to Lodge Pool Safety Compliance Certificate

The new revised deadlines for having your swimming pool barrier inspected and issued with a pool safety compliance certificate are outlined below.

FOR POOLS AND SPAS CONSTRUCTED AFTER 1 NOVEMBER 2021
Deadlines for pools built after the 1st of November in 2020 remain unchanged. You are required to lodge your first certificate of barrier compliance within 30 days of the date of issue of the certificate from your pool inspector. Please note that this certificate must also be submitted along with your application for registration.
After the first submission of the barrier compliance certificate, you’ll be required to submit another certificate every 4 years. At Pool Safety Check, we’ll remind you 3 months prior when it’s time for you to get your next inspection and certificate of compliance.
FEES FOR NON COMPLIANT POOLS

REMEMBER TO BOOK YOUR POOL INSPECTION...
To lodge a pool safety certificate that abides by Australian Standards and pool regulations, you’ll need to book a pool inspection with a licensed pool safety inspector who can provide you with a certificate of compliance.
They’ll assess if your swimming pool or spa barrier meets the safety standards and guide you through the necessary steps to secure your certificate of compliance. So make sure your pool safety barrier is thoroughly inspected and complete any works required to make it come into compliance.
While deadline extensions may provide you with temporary peace of mind, beware that they can creep up quite quickly.
